Microsoft Office 2007
Abstract
Microsoft has significantly altered the structure of documents, databases and
spreadsheets in Office 2007. Further, the appearance of the Microsoft
Office 2007 suite is significantly different to previous versions. This
knowledgebase article discusses some of the characteristics of Office 2007 that
vary from earlier versions and how to handle them.
Underlying challenge
This KBA is a general list of Office 2007 notes. As such, it may change
from time to time.
The following notes are currently included:
- Do not convert the Capable.MDB to the new .ACCDB format.
- If Word 2007 documents do not appear correctly in Visit Notes, read this.
Resolution
Do not convert the Capable.MDB to the new .ACCDB format
Capable 21C is engineered to find the database in a particular folder, and named
Capable.MDB. If the file is converted to the new MS Access format, the
filename will change to Capable.ACCDB - and Capable 21C will no longer be able
to find the file.
If Word 2007 documents do not appear correctly in Visit Notes, read this
Microsoft has published a knowledgebase article that addresses this problem:
