My Turn!

Stupidity is going out to the farm one day and finding your friend has a new three wheeler, it was an ATC200 Honda. With all the racks so you could carry ... well..... hay, anywhere on the thing.

Jumping off the XL250 I was riding my friend showed off the new toy and asked wether I'd like a shot at riding. Well, that was it I was sitting on that thing as fast as. He explained operation, it had a thumb throttle that took some getting used too. High and low diff ratios and wohoo! a reverse gear! (settle down you goldwing fans...)

I took off for the damn and attempted to reverse it up the bank! I got half way up and the wheels started spinning.I dug a hole in the bank about half way up with the wheels, switched the motor off and sat there (no brakes!) Cool! I thought. My friend away by the gate started waving frantically so I started her up and rolled out of the hole, I gave it full throttle and headed back to him. Figured I'd do an impressive rear end slide and stop next to him, this is where things got iffy, I started to turn real sharp to the left and not thinking put my left foot down as I would've on the XL, ALL of a sudden I'm hanging on for grim death as the rear left wheel caught my jeans and attempted to drag me of the bike!!!!! I couldn't quite work out what was happening for a second and as I grappled to hang on I hit the throttle harder with my thumb and was puled off and the damn thing ran over me.

shame....

more shame
