What is Checkpoint.MDB
Abstract
Operators may notice a file in the database folder called Checkpoint.MDB.
This knowledgebase article describes what that file is, and why it is created.
Underlying challenge
Since v1.5.617, whenever a Live Update is performed, Capable 21C automatically creates
a copy of the main database file and calls it Checkpoint.MDB. This is done
before the Live Update begins.
Resolution
No action needs to be taken with this file. It is created as a backup file
in case emergency reversal of the Live Update is required.
Detailed Information
If an office finds that the file increases the size of their backups beyond an acceptable
threshold, it is safe to exclude the file from backups
