Setup Image Folders

Abstract

Capable 21C has the ability to group images or attached documents into folders.  This knowledgebase article explains how to exploit this feature.

Underlying challenge

A set of standard folders is nominated via Setup|Setup Image Folders, and then those folders are automatically made available on all patient/client files.

Resolution

To setup the image folders feature:

  1. Go to Setup|Setup Image Folders
  2. Click the Insert button to create a new folder
  3. Name (or rename) the folder accordingly.

Detailed Information

Note that the only folders made available to an operator are those configured as above.  If a folder is created, and then subsequently removed from the list, images that have been moved into that folder will no longer be available.  The images are not deleted when this happens.

Note the due to space limitations on screen, if long folder name are used, or many folders are created, Capable 21C will automatically introduce scrollbars to allow the operator to scroll to the desired folder.  However, these scrollbars can further reduce the visible space, and make this feature cumbersome to use.  For this reason, Capable Software Pty Ltd recommends using the minimum possible number of folders, and keeping the folder names as short as possible.
