Print Visit Notes

Abstract

Whilst Capable 21C maintains electronic records of all aspects of patient/client care, it also has the ability to reproduce this information in hard copy.  This knowledgebase article explains how to print the various components of a patient/client's electronic file.

There are three core printable components of a patient/client's electronic visit notes:

  1. Summary of Treatment rendered at each visit
  2. Images or attachments
  3. Detailed reports for major events (eg examination)

To print a summary of treatment rendered:

  1. Go to the Visit Notes window for the patient/client
  2. Go to the Summary tab.

Detailed Information

Note that Capable 21C has native view and print functionality for JPG and BMP image files.  It also supports automated printin of Microsoft Word (tm) documents.  For other types of documents (eg Adobe PDF (tm) documents), Capable 21C may not be able to automatically print the document using the Print button on the Images tab.  In these cases, right click on the thumbnail, and choose the Open in New Window option.  This will open the attachment using the Windows default viewing application - which should support its own print functionality.

Note also that the Visit Notes|Images tab has a Print All button which will automatically attempt to print all attachments.
